How to treat recurrent infections?

Recurrent tonsillitis and nasal inflammations may necessitate surgery to avoid drug side effects and mitigate the negative consequences of the disease. However, it is important to note that here we are specifically referring to "bacterial" infections, which only account for 10-30% of upper respiratory tract infections.

Unfortunately, I frequently witness improper antibiotic usage, and therefore, I do not consider a history of antibiotic use as a reliable indicator of frequent bacterial infections. For this reason, I emphasize the importance of observing and treating my patients over a certain period, ensuring that unnecessary or incorrect surgical decisions are avoided. This way, I can make the best decisions for my patients.
