“After my children started kindergarten, I noticed an increase in diseases and breathing problems during sleep which was new to me as a parent...”
That unpleasant year involved frequent sinusitis, sleepless nights, and chronic serous otitis media, which eventually led us to pursue surgery, partial tonsillectomy+adenoidectomy with ventilation tube insertion. Thankfully, after the surgery, all these problems became a thing of the past.
In this part, I will explain how we can reduce the frequency of infections in children, discuss the approach to chronic/recurrent tonsil and adenoid diseases, shed light on obstructive sleep disorders in childhood, and summarize the appropriate treatment approaches based on current scientific guidelines.
