Who needs filler?
While there may not be a medical necessity, I explain and recommend filler injections to patients who I think can benefit cosmetically even if they don't have a specific filler request. For example, those with disproportionately small or inverted lips, sunken temples, subtle cheekbones, volume loss under the eyes, prominent tear troughs, deep grooves between the nose and mouth, or between the mouth and chin. Additionally, minor shape irregularities and inconsistencies after rhinoplasty can be corrected without the need for revision surgery with careful applications. Of course, if there are unrealistic expectations, if fillers are requested in inappropriate areas, or if the desired results are beyond my aesthetic limits, I explain why fillers may not be suitable.
